4 Ways to Overcome Car Overheating

One of the most undesirable car conditions is overheating - Overheat itself is a condition where the car engine experiences a fairly high temperature increase and is considered abnormal or above average. Basically, this car engine is made in such a way that it eliminates the possibility of overheating. But if the engine overheats, it means there is something wrong with your car. 

Some of the most commonly known causes of an overheating car are insufficient radiator water, a dead radiator fan, a dead water pump, or a leak. This will be very annoying if it happens in the middle of the trip. Don't worry, you can do some of the things below if you experience an overheating car engine while on the road. 

1. Turn off the air conditioner

One of the best steps to take is to turn off the AC machine. This is because if the AC engine is turned off, it will help reduce the temperature of a hot car engine thanks to the AC. 

2. Turn off the car engine

The second step that is quite helpful in overcoming an overheating car is to turn off the car engine. Try to pull over your car and always pay attention to the temperature instructions. If the temperature is getting lower, immediately turn off the car engine right away. 

3. Positioning the Car Key in ON

After turning off the car engine, put your car key back to the "ON" position so that the radiator fan continues to spin. This is useful for cooling the radiator water, and can reduce the rising temperature conditions in the car. 

4. Pay Attention to Road Conditions

If the temperature of the car has been reduced enough by carrying out the 3 steps above, the driver can continue the journey by paying attention to road conditions. If the road conditions are congested, it is better not to continue the journey until smooth again. It is highly recommended to continue the journey if the road conditions are smooth so as not to overheat again. This is because congestion can make the car overheat.
